WILDCON has provided more than 25 computers and printers to game departments in Zimbabwe and Zululand. Individuals and companies who "upgraded" their computer systems donated their older working units which, in turn, have filled a large need in the bush. Prior to receiving computers, game scouts made hand written notes in their logs. The notes chronicled incursion points favored by poachers, their killing fields, routes taken, times of the year most favored, etc. But there was no quick way to correlate and call this valuable data up and to make forecasts based on the historical information. Now the information is readily available and the game scouts have often been successful in interdicting poachers in advance of their kills.
